Its seats are larger large than other double strollers that are lightweight, and the canopies have nice-sized SPF 50 sunshades with peekaboo windows. Other key features include one-parent cup holders and an enormous, self-standing basket that can hold up 25 pounds; swing-away bar for children to climb out and in their seats; and the wheels can be locked with swivels to allow for better maneuverability on rough terrain. It is a great option for suburban and urban families. It is also newborn ready with the double kit which includes the newborn's wedgie to ensure an optimum lie-flat position.
Weight
The weight of a double buggy is one the main factors that determine how easy it is to push. Typically, a light buggy will be more easy to lift and carry but it might not have enough suspension to deal with bumps and uneven terrain.
Check the specifications of each model carefully before buying. Some double buggies have an upper limit on the weight of the seats and others have an overall frame limit. Some double buggies are able to be folded with seats removed, making them smaller and lighter. This is a great option if you are limited on storage space.
The tri-fold doubles are generally the lightest, since only one hand is required to lift the lower and back sections. They are also a bit smaller than buggies with side-by-side sides and can be accessed through the majority of doorways. The iCandy Geo 3 is one of the lightest tri-fold doubles available on the market, and can comfortably accommodate twins or a baby and toddler.
Tandem buggies start out as a single pushchair but come with adapters to add a carrycot, a second seat or car seat which makes them the ideal choice for expanding families. Some, like the iCandy Orange offer over 30 different seating configurations, meaning they can adapt to your family, even up to a 3rd child. These doubles are heavier than tri-folds, but because the weight is more evenly dispersed, they are more comfortable to maneuver.
Folding
The most compact double buggies fold easily and can be folded in just a few seconds. Our Lab experts appreciate this feature since it helps them squeeze the buggies in the back of their car and free up storage space when not in use. The Joovy Kooper X2 for example includes straps that can be pulled up on each seat and then the whole thing folds down. Even our oldest testers were able to fold this tri-fold in just one hand.

Manoeuvrability
One of the most important factors to take into consideration when selecting a compact double buggy is its manoeuvrability, particularly how easy it is to get around with both children in the. Some pushchairs are more efficient than others in this regard such as the iCandy Orange's 'cinema seat' (where the back is elevated).
Buggies with narrow tandems can be excellent at this as can side-byside designs. These buggies can be a little longer and may be difficult to navigate through doorways.
The UPPAbaby Vista 2 pushchair is a great example, as it is a relatively narrow model that allows for two additional seats, and more importantly, an auxiliary board that can be used to accommodate a third child.
